Piero Epifanía manage to embrace, delve and explore even the most intimate corner of his listeners with his music. “Miles, los amigos” is presented as an autobiographical testimony that accounts for his cosmopolitan spirit and the deep admiration he has for the sounds of his land. The ten songs on the album are a journey around the world.
With notorious influences from Argentinian rock, Saharan tribal music, harmonies of Amazonian origins, African rhythms and echoes from the Far East, songs such as "Niña Jugando", "Keep Them" or "Cumbia" create scenarios with a strong cinematographic tonality.
"Miles, los amigos“ also has a narrative that invites to movement and displacement. It is a synesthetic travel, where music touches the body, paints the environment and holds a delicious taste of Peru, its Afro-descendant roots and the miscegenation of its
three nations: coast, mountains and jungle. It's "chicha", black, white, native and immigrant; classic, at times, and divergent in nature.
